Tell me truthfully, when you read “Lose 40kgs in 7 days” what was your first thought ?

For few, it sounded funny and actually quite stupid, as these individuals, know the facts, simple logics & science behind weight/fat loss.

But for most of others, this title looked quite normal to them, and they actually came in looking for the secret remedy which can make you lose 40kgs in 7 days, or at least they believe that this is possible.

These are the same individuals, who are always looking for only one thing, that is some magical remedy, some secret food or supplement, or some overnight solution, which can give them instant weight loss, without any major effort.

These are the same people, who in their schools were looking for the highest marks, without studying; or looking for success in any field without putting any effort.

Now, because there are stupid people searching for such weird stuff, there are even bigger douchebags, who are providing them with answers. Social media is full of such crap videos, blogs and websites. Then come in the fraud companies selling you these magical supplements or solutions. Together, they create a complete package of bullshit, and keep promoting it wherever possible. Because they know that, they have the ready customer base for such crap.

Let me give you an example. Check any social media platform, let’s take YouTube. There are certain health channels on YouTube (though there is no health information to be seen), which provide you with such absolutely rubbish videos, in bulk. They actually choose one hotly searched topic like ‘weight loss’ and revolve every single video around that. Whatever video they make, they will always have the word ‘weight loss’ attached to it.

Let me tell you the topics of some of the videos on such channels, and you will  understand the logic-less and senseless videos:

  • Weight loss khichdi – lose 5kgs in 15 days
  • Fennel drink for weight loss – lose 2kgs in 7 days
  • Weight loss sandwich – lose 3kgs in 7 days
  • Juice weight loss diet – lose 5kgs in 3 days
  • Weight loss smoothie – lose 3kgs in 7 days
  • Drink this at bedtime to lose belly fat – lose 1kg in 2 days
  • Drink this in morning – lose 7kgs in 10 days
  • Sprouts for weight loss – lose 3kgs in 10 days
  • Special magic slimming tea – lose 40kgs in 7 days
  • Snake diet – lose 30lbs in 30 days
  • Size zero drink – lose 15kgs in 15 days
  • Weight loss roti – lose 5kgs in 15 days
  • Weight loss salt – what is this now?
  • Master cleanse belly diet – lose 15kgs in 1 month
  • Summer diet, winter diet, monsoon diet,……
  • Ashwagandha for weight loss?
  • Apple diet plan – lose 5kgs in 5 days
  • Eat 2 dates a day – lose 5kg in 15 days

No, wait, it’s not even close to being over. There is much more… pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, chia seeds, wheatgrass powder, spirulina, banana diet, moringa, salt water diet, quinoa, rice, oats, dalia, milk tea, weight loss chutney….. and I had to close the channel page, as I couldn’t take it anymore.

Now, let’s do one thing. Let’s start doing most of the above things.

What will happen?

According to the channel, we are sure to lose at least 150-200kgs in a month. Isn’t it? Because that’s what the calculations come out to be. If you are losing an average of 5-15kgs from one video, then you can imagine what will happen if you follow most of them. I suppose at that rate, most of us will vanish in no time.

Can you really believe that such bullshit channels even exist. And they don’t just exist, but millions of people follow them, and watch these videos. That’s a different story that these are same category of people who follow people like nirmal baba, and radhey ma.

For god sake, expose these channels and the idiots behind them. It’s not a job, but a moral duty of people to expose such rubbish channels.

For people who watch such channels, wake up. There is a limit to how dumb & stupid a person can be. At least try not to cross that limit. There are people who don’t just watch such crap, but also follow them, believing them to work.

There is no magic, no secret recipe, no supplement, pill, powder, no overnight solutions, nothing which can give you results.

Understand the difference between weight loss and fat loss. All the diets being prescribed with faster weight loss will actually give you that only Weight loss. But what is this weight? It is the water you are losing, and in most cases your precious muscle mass. You are shrinking and getting thin temporarily.

There is a difference in being thin and being fit & strong. The latter takes massive amount of effort and consistency.

That’s why I repeatedly give example of marks in school. There is simply no shortcut to scoring good grades. You can try any shortcut, guides, tuitions, online classes etc. but at the end of the day, the simple formula for good scores is “study your ass off”.

Stop looking for stupid short cuts and instant overnight solutions for anything in life. Anything which is worthwhile in life, takes a huge amount of time and effort. Nothing, repeat nothing, can be achieved overnight, if it is of some greater value. Rome was not built in a day.

I’m very much interested in doing workouts, and also want to pursue knowledge in personal training course, but I think in this age can I do and also other responsibilities are also there, can I do . Please guide me. And also please I’m now 65 and want to become fit not lean, I have shredded from 69 to 56 and now I’m at 65 as I’m doing strength training, weight lifting. Give me some suggestions for becoming lean and fit body and also can I become personal trainer or some recognised career in fitness industry. Actually want to become Fitness female entrepreneur. Please give me Ur valuable suggestions . Waiting for your answer.

  3. all those videos are such clickbait baseless claims that just want views. its really sad that a lot of people are not educated and will just buy into their claims because they want those results.
